Media Packets

The Media Packet is prepared prior to each Primary, General and Special Election for the media to use while reporting results on election night. It contains:

  • Teleconference dates, election contact information, important dates, voting information, voter eligibility and language assistance.

  • What’s on the ballot, primary election ballot choices, sample ballots, house and senate district designations, reading the election results with sample results, and early, absentee and questioned ballot information and counting schedule.

  • Alaska’s ballot count method, optical scan and hand count precincts, election security, Alaska’s primary election history, election voter turnout, election recount information and frequently asked questions.
