Publications Election Pamphlets During a Primary and General election year the Division of Elections publishes two official pamphlets designed to help Alaskan voters make informed choices. Pamphlets are available in printed, digital, and audio formats; and made available to the public no later than 22 days prior to Election Day. Printed versions are mailed to every voter household and digital versions are posted to this page. Digitial versions of the pamphlets are also available in select languages. Primary Ballot Measures Pamphlet The Ballot Measures Pamphlet (BMP) is published during the Primary Election. The pamphlet provides information about ballot measure(s) on the ballot, as well as information on how to vote, voting locations, absentee voting information, general voting information, and voter rights. The BMP does not contain candidate profiles and is only published if a ballot measure is set to appear on the primary ballot. Divided into five booklets based on regional jurisdictions, the OEP includes biographical information prepared by candidates who elected to participate in the OEP.2 The text of the biographical statements is provided and paid for by the candidate in accordance with AS 15.58.030 and 6AAC 25.690. Views expressed in the biographical statements are from the candidate and not endorsed by the Division of Elections.The OEP also provides information about any ballot measures appearing on the ballot, how to vote, voting locations, absentee voting, and voter rights.
