It’s official: Ballot Measure Pamphlet to be mailed for 2026 Primary Election July 10, 2026The Alaska Division of Elections (DOE) is publishing a Ballot Measure Pamphlet (BMP) for the 2026 Primary Election. This is the first BMP issued by the DOE since 2014. The pamphlet features Ballot Measure 1 (23RCF2), an act restoring campaign contribution limits for campaigns for state and local office. The sponsors of the petition were issued a notice of proper filing by the Lt. Governor’s Office on October 17, 2024. Under Alaska Statute 15.45.190, if properly filed, the ballot title and proposition will appear on the ballot of the first statewide primary, general or special election held after a legislative session has convened and adjourned and a period of 120 days has expired since the adjournment of the legislative session. The pamphlet includes a sample ballot with ballot language, a neutral summary prepared by the Legislative Affairs Agency, a statement outlining costs, the full text of the proposed law, and statements in support of and opposition to the proposed law. The pamphlet also contains vital information for voting in this year’s Primary Election, such as absentee voting, polling places, and language assistance. The pamphlet is set to be mailed to households later this month in English, with translations available in certain Alaska Native languages. Copies of the pamphlet will also be available at our regional offices, legislative information offices across the state, and on the DOE website.
