Alaska's Special Local Elections

Incorporation, merger and consolidation or dissolution requires a community to first file a petition with the Local Boundary Commission. When a petition is approved by the Local Boundary Commission, the Division of Elections is responsible to administer the election.
- Local liquor option requires a community to file a petition with the Division of Elections. When a petition is approved, the Division of Elections will administer the local liquor option election.
