Public Information

The following items in a voter record are public information:
  • name
  • address
  • party affiliation
  • district and precinct information
  • voter history
  • registration dates
Other information, such as voter number, social security number, Alaska driver’s license, phone numbers, date of birth, place of birth, social security number and/or last 4 of SSN etc. on the voter record is maintained as confidential information.


Confidential Residence Address

A voter’s residence address is public information. A voter may elect to keep his or her residential address confidential if the mailing address is different from the residence address. This can be requested in writing or by checking the appropriate box on the voter registration application.

A voter's confidential residence address may be disclosed to government agencies or during election processes as set out in state law.
