The Division of Elections consists of the Director's Office in Juneau and four regional offices in Juneau (Region I), Anchorage (Region II), Fairbanks (Region III), and Nome (Region IV), one statellite office under the supervision of Region II and the By Mail and By FAX Voting Office in Anchorage.


Office Locations

  • Director's Office - (Statewide)
    Responsible for all statewide matters.

  • Regional Elections Offices:
    Responsible for conducting elections and maintaining voter registration records for their specific districts, this includes: Voter registration and voter registration updates, voter list request, early/in person absentee voting, special needs voting, polling places, election workers and day-to-day election processes.

    Juneau - Region I - (Southeast Alaska, Kodiak and Kenai Peninsula) - Districts 1-5 and 33-36

    Anchorage - Region II and Matanuska-Susitna (South Central Alaska) - Districts 13 - 32

    Fairbanks - Region III - (Central, Interior Alaska) - Districts 6 - 12

    Nome - Region IV - (Northern and Western Alaska) - Districts 37 - 40

  • Voting By Mail or By Fax & Petition Office - (Statewide)
    Responsible for all by mail and by fax absentee voting programs and initiative and referrendum petitions.
