Notice of Election of the Proposal to Incorporate the Deltana Borough
Information for Voters
Election Day is Tuesday, November 20, 2007
This Election Will Be Conducted By Mail
There will be no polling place on election day.
The ballot will contain the grounds for recall and a rebuttal statement, if provided, followed by the questions listed below:
Shall Shelly Wilson be recalled from the Office of School Board member, Seat A, on the Chatham School District Board?
Shall Edward Gamble, Sr. be recalled from the Office of School Board member, Seat B, on the Chatham School District Board?
Shall Irene Paul be recalled from the Office of School Board member, Seat C, on the Chatham School District Board?
Ballots will be mailed on Monday, October 29, 2007. The ballots will be mailed to the mailing address on your voter record. You have from the time you receive your ballot until Election Day to vote your ballot. If you do not receive your ballot, if your mailing address or information on your registration record has changed, if you will not be at your current mailing address or if you have questions about by-mail voting contact the Region I Elections Office at 907-465-3021.
The ballots WILL NOT FORWARD. If your mail will be forwarded during this time, contact the Region I Elections Office at (907) 465-3021.
When voting your by-mail ballot, follow the instructions included. For your ballot to be counted, you must complete the following on the return ballot envelope:
1. Sign your name and provide at least one identifier.
2. Have your signature witnessed. Ask an authorized official such as the postmaster, city clerk or election official or one person over the age of 18 to be your witness.
Your voted ballot MUST BE mailed to the Division of Elections or hand delivered to one of the designated ballot drop box locations listed below:
Mailed Ballots: Must be postmarked on or before Election Day, Tuesday, November 20, 2007.
Delivered Ballots: You may deliver your ballot to a ballot box location at one of the Absentee Voting locations listed below during hours of operation. Ballots must be delivered no later than 8:00pm on Election Day, November 20, 2007.
