STATEMENT:

STATE'S ROLE -- Alaska's governmental role should be to manage and open new areas of development. Timber needs a steady supply of renewable land. Tourism needs airports, harbors, solid roads with clean waysides and comfort stations. Locally owned and Privately owned land is our heritage, our piece of Alaska to pass on to our children. We've proven that we as Alaskans can develop a resource without harming the environment. Good management, development, and jobs all go together, building a solid future for Alaska.

FREE ENTERPRISE - This is the backbone of our economy - everyday common people taking notice of what is around them, daring to dream, and building for the future. When government makes room and opens the door the private sector is very quick and efficient to create and manage businesses and jobs on the local level.

EDUCATION - The students of all of Alaska are entitled to a solid education with a university system we can all be proud of. Parental and community support are the key elements to the education process.

BUDGET - As your State Senator I will work hard to control spending while fighting to ensure a quality lifestyle for all Alaskans.

We need solid people with integrity to lead Alaska into the 21st century, leaders who are responsive to the people. Let's pass on to our children a state financially solid and rich with economic opportunities.
