STATEMENT:

As your legislator since 1990, I take great pride in listening to, and acting on your concerns.

We must continue to be ever diligent in balancing the wishes of Alaskans with a realistic budget. As I have listened to your priorities, there is no question quality education, health care that is accessible and affordable, public safety of our citizens, local economic development with local labor, and addressing the ever-growing deferred maintenance needs of our communities are foremost within our district.

Again, I believe any state planning, designing or implementation must involve the local communities.

As we look to the future, it is vital any development of our natural resources be accomplished in a responsible manner.

Without question, I believe I am a positive role model for our youth and will continue to represent you through respect, responsibility, and results.

Thank you for the trust you have shown in my leadership for the last 8 years.
