STATEMENT:

I am strongly committed to the economic growth of Alaska and my district. I will submit ideas that can help develop and diversify our communities.

In order to prosper, we must do more than protect, we must produce. We must move government out of our way, and make them work for us, not against us. That means both the Federal and State government.

Crime is rampant and the residents of my district are fed up. We must change this by changing the way we deal with these people, the Republicans put some teeth into law, now let's take our first bites. We must make our prisons a place where you only visit once.

My district lacks electricity and schools and job opportunities, I will change that.

We need to ensure that there will be small towns in Alaska. I believe in small businesses and their well being, I think they are essential for a balanced society. I believe in a strong agricultural base in Alaska and my district is as good as any to show how to do this.

We have term limits (ballot box) to ensure new ideas and opportunities can be developed, that way the same people do not control our futures for years and years. Every legislator was a rookie at one time, let's give someone else the chance to be one, let's send Doug Welton to Juneau and see what he can do.

I need your support, please "Vote for ME"

Doug
