As your representative, I promise to fight unwaveringly
I have a lifelong record of public service during which I have
always been a strong advocate for the above principles.
- Economic development through private enterprise
- Limited role for government
- Protection for children and families
- Fiscal restraint and no new taxes
- The rights of citizens to be secure, in their homes and persons,
including the right to bear arms
- Preservation of the Permanent Fund
As a legislator, I will pursue all reasonable avenues to allow
responsible development of Alaska's natural resources including:
I believe that government should be restricted to performing only
those activities that individuals and the private sector cannot perform.
- Timber on a sustained yield basis consistent with protection
- Continued exploration and development of Alaska's oil and gas
with appropriate safeguards
- Fisheries that ensure equitable allocation to all users including
sport fishermen and commercial fishermen
- Tourist industry
- Value-added industries to take advantage of Alaska's natural
gas supplies, resources, and strategic location
- Streamline permitting processes
I believe it is imperative that the state balance its budget and
protect the Permanent Fund. I will support the present legislative
goal of balancing the budget in two years.
I believe preserving public safety is a legitimate role for
government. I believe all law-abiding adults should be able,
at their option, to protect themselves. I will continue my long
record of advocating and protecting the right to keep and bear arms.
