STATEMENT:

My wife and I have six children and eight grandchildren. While in the Navy, I was trained in aviation electronics. During my years in Alaska, I have worked in Kodiak, Valdez, Old Harbor and Fairbanks. I've worked as a commercial fisherman, teamster, and longshoreman and participated in the construction of the Alaska pipeline. For the past 20 years I've owned and operated a successful business in Anchorage. As a result of my varied background in the private sector, I have been and will continue to be a very responsive citizen legislator.

Over the past years as your Representative I have worked on streamlining government, trying to stop wasteful spending. I have also been the prime sponsor of legislation to address the problem of crime in our community and worked to control fuel prices. It is my hope that you will see fit to vote for me again so I can continue my work to make State government more responsive to you.
