STATEMENT:

In a state as beautiful and prosperous as ours, I know we can conquer the tough issues with civility and decency. We can be fiscally responsible and create the tools for a prosperous future. It's time for a responsible legislature that will stand strong for all Alaskans.

ALASKANS DESERVE RESPECT from their elected officials. This legislature has not adequately responded to public input. I promise to listen and be responsible to your concerns. Alaskans who care enough to take the time and effort to contact their elected officials deserve courtesy and respect.

QUALITY EDUCATION FOR ALL ALASKANS should be equitable and fair. We need reasonable class size and course offerings that are in step with the changing job market. Access to quality schools provides economic prosperity for all Alaskans.

AGGRESSIVE ECONOMIC DIVERSIFICATION creates a stable economy. Industries such as tourism, information technology, and a gas pipeline translate into new jobs for all Alaskans.

PROTECTING THE HEALTH of Alaskans starts with prevention. A healthy family is the basis for a strong society. I will work for reliable and affordable health care for all stages of life.

CRIME PREVENTION is key to safe communities. Early intervention for troubled youth deters future offenders. I will ensure effective public safety services for our community.

These are some of the issues we need to address together to secure a healthy future for Alaska. I would appreciate your vote on November 3rd.
