West Anchorage is my home. I grew up here, went to school
here, and played on sports teams at West High. After attending college,
serving in the military, and getting a law degree, I came home to
West Anchorage so my children could grow up in the same neighborhood
I did. Today, I feel fortunate my children can take advantage of
the same opportunities and quality of life I had.
I am a candidate for State House because I care deeply about the future of our neighborhood, city, and State. We are at a crucial juncture in our history and we need leaders who understand their fellow Alaskans and who have deep roots in Alaska, who appreciate what Alaska is all about and know that it is a special place.
We need state leaders today who are committed to economic policies that will allow Alaska to grow, prosper and create jobs, while preserving our unique quality of life. With oil prices at record lows, we need lawmakers who appreciate the need to closely control state spending and safeguard the PFD on which so many Alaskan families depend. And as a parent myself, I believe we must promote both quality and accountability in our schools, so we can give our young people the skills to succeed.
I have made my home, built my professional career, and run a small business here. As a candidate for the Legislature, I ask for the opportunity to serve our neighborhood and the State that I love.
