POSITION STATEMENT:

For the past four years I have served the people of Senate District Q in the State Senate. During this time, I worked to cut excessive state spending, bring jobs into Alaska and the interior, and to see that family and traditional values were represented in Juneau.

I believe that throughout the last four years we have labored diligently to accomplish these objectives. This year alone the budget was reduced by sixty to seventy million dollars. However, we still have a long way to go before all of these important issues which I have worked for are realized.

My pledge to you, is that when re-elected, I will continue to:

a) work to cut excessive state spending, while keeping the vital functions of necessary state government;

b) bring jobs into the interior of Alaska, but at the same time work to keep these jobs open and available to local residents;

c) promote traditional family and moral values which have made Alaska a great place in which to live and raise a family.

I look forward to continuing the fight on these issues for the people of District Q. I would appreciate your vote and continued support on election day, November 5, for State Senator.
