Alaska's future and Alaskans' future depends on
prudent development of all of our resources for stability
and prosperity. Alaskans have a bright future in
farming, fishing, mining, small business development
and tourism. Oil and gas development is classified as
mining; we must closely watch the royalty breaks and
other giveaways to the oil companies, and push for
North Slope gas sales.
As an Independent in the Legislature, I will be in the
position to vote for the best to offer Alaska, rather than
following the party lines as is the present situation in
our legislature.
