Withdraw as a Candidate

In accordance with AS 15.25.055, 15.25.200 and 15.35.135 to withdraw as a candidate your request must be received on or before the 48th day prior to Election Day.

When withdrawing, a candidate must provide a:

• statement that you wish to withdraw from office and the seat name;
  
• signature and date; and
  
• contact telephone number.
  

When withdrawing as a candidate, your filing fee will not be refunded.

If a candidate who won in the Primary Election for a recognized political party withdraws on or before the 48th day prior to the General Election, the recognized political party may nominate a replacement candidate following AS 15.25.110 - 15.25.130 no later than the 48th day prior to the General Election.
